Regulatory Affairs Coordinator (EMA)
(Has worked at Paranova since 2017)

What is your role at Paranova?

I am on the EMA-team in Regulatory Affairs. When medicine is launched on the market, several areas need to be maintained. My job is to make sure that applications and packaging are updated – both according to the law, but also according to changes from the direct importers. My department has strong collaboration across the organization, so there is a lot of communication, which also helps ensure the quality of our work.

What motivates you in your job?

It motivates me to know that I can make a difference. Parallel import helps ensure that people can afford the medicine and that it is more accessible for the patients. In that sense, we play a very important role, not only because we make the medicine more accessible, but also because we put pressure on our competitors in the industry. So both at a societal level, but also for me personally, it is an important area of work to contribute to.

How would you describe the culture at Paranova?

I think we have a very including culture at Paranova. As we are a small company, you get very close to each other. Thus, there is easy access to my managers, so I can always approach them if I have any concerns. I recently came back from maternity leave, and I think my managers have been very flexible and supportive in helping me getting back to work. That is very important to me, and very common for Paranova I think.

Nordic Portfolio Manager
(Has worked at Paranova since 2016)

What is your role at Paranova?

I recently accepted the role as Nordic Portfolio Manager, where I am commercially responsible for Denmark & Norway and the team supporting Sweden and Finland. My job is to make sure we always have a healthy and profitable product portfolio in our sales markets. That includes finding new growth opportunities but also risk assessment to make sure that risk is kept to a minimum.

What motivates you in your job?

Growth and making a difference. It motivates me to know that we are making a difference in helping patients getting access to cheaper medicine, and sometimes to medicine that would not be available if we were not present. The industry itself is very unique and also something I thrive being part of.

How would you describe the culture at Paranova?

There is not far from thought to action. I experience a very flat structure in the organization, which means that there are opportunities for employees with the right set of skills. Also, our industry and the organization itself is very international with a high cultural diversity, which contributes to a great atmosphere in the office.

Customer Service Coordinator
(Has worked at Paranova since 2001)

What is your role at Paranova?

I am responsible for handling the Danish Sales orders, receiving claims, return goods and many other things regarding sale in Denmark, Sweden and Finland. So I have a close contact with our different distributors, wholesalers, and pharmacies, and sometimes even private patients also call for the delivery status of a particular product, they are using.

What motivates you in your job?

I quite enjoy the daily contact with wholesalers and pharmacies, and I like to get the things done because I can see progress right there. I like the freedom of responsibility approach. It gives me the possibility to be flexible, get my things done properly and then help out with my four grandchildren if needed. You get opportunities here. Personally, I started in the production, went on to making instructions, then Q&A and since 2010 Customer Service Coordinator.

How would you describe the culture at Paranova?

I think it’s a very open and kind culture and very international as well. I think we are seven different nationalities here in the Danish office, and then there is the contact with our Swedish, Finnish and German colleagues as well. Some in the Purchase department can talk with the Suppliers in Poland, Romania and the Baltic Countries in their language and that’s a significant advantage. In our office, we have a lot of activities, you can join if you want to. Things like summer and Christmas parties, DHL running event, breakfast together every Friday, some join the weekly work out, go for a run or a walk together, and then we have a lot of people who like to bake cakes and share them with us.

Sourcing Manager (Medical Device)
(Has worked at Paranova since 2019)

What is your role at Paranova?

I used to work as a student assistant, but I was offered a fulltime position when I graduated. Now my title is Sourcing Manager for medical devices. I am responsible for maintaining the contact with our suppliers, and additionally getting in new suppliers for medical devices. I do the ordering for Paranova and MPA Pharma, which we are part of, so I am in contact with the Medical Device team in Germany and the sales managers in Paranova. My job is to make sure that they get their stock so we can supply our customers.

What motivates you in your job?

A major reason for me to work at Paranova is that, in comparison to bigger companies in the industry, you get a lot more responsibility. Paranova is a smaller company, which also means that we have to cover bigger areas and more tasks, and therefore you are assigned a lot of responsibility. I think that is important, especially when you are taking your first steps in your career.

How would you describe the culture at Paranova?

I would say we have a really open culture. If you need help from someone, it is easy to approach anyone in the company because of our flat structure. What I also like about this workplace is that we have a lot of nationalities and different cultures. For me, it is easier to integrate into a company when you have such a diverse environment.
