Regulatory Affairs Coordinator
(Has worked at Paranova since 2020)

What is your role at Paranova?

As a Regulatory Affairs Coordinator, I help apply for marketing authorization applications, renewals and deregistrations, maintenance of packing materials such as patient information leaflets, boxes and labels, and preparing packing instructions for the production. My role also entails receiving complaints and communicating with authorities and pharmacies. Recently, I have also joined the medical device team.

What motivates you in your job?

I like that there are challenges in my job. I came from a very different position as a pharmaconomist at a pharmacy, and therefore the tasks were completely different and challenging from the beginning. I am motivated by the fact that far from all days are the same. I have many different tasks to handle, so that keeps the job varied. As we have an open office space, I also enjoy that I am close to my colleagues, so there is easy access to other departments whether it be Commercial or Research. I find that this makes communication and collaboration across teams much easier.

How would you describe the culture at Paranova?

I think we have a very flat structure at Paranova, which also allows you to influence your own tasks. You do not have to hold back if you have good ideas or inputs. I think that creates a good work environment where there is room for development. I also enjoy the social culture and I think I have a good relationship with my close team, which I find important. It has been difficult with COVID-19, but when the circumstances allow it, I enjoy the social initiatives such as Friday bars, eating together, etc.

Commercial Lead
(Has worked at Paranova since 2017)

What is your role at Paranova?

Initially, I started as a student assistant within Research and Sales for about a year in our Finnish office and then I was offered an analyst position, which is why I moved to Denmark from Helsinki. Last year, I took over as the Commercial Lead for Sweden. This role is quite broad, but among other things, it entails customer relations with Swedish customers as well as external partners, portfolio and product management, and then I am of course responsible for results in the Swedish market.

What motivates you in your job?

I would say it is the broad scope of tasks that I deal with. It is both challenging and motivating but they are not mutually exclusive. I also really appreciate the freedom of responsibility, which is a large motivator for me as well. I am quite free to implement my own ideas, ways of working or processes regarding the Swedish market as long as it brings value to the market and the company. I am also motivated by having great colleagues. Even as a non-Danish speaker, I think there is a very nice and inclusive atmosphere.

How would you describe the culture at Paranova?

I think we have a very open culture, and we have a lot of talented young people working for the company which makes it youthful. As we are also an international office, it creates a diverse environment for throwing ideas around. Having an open culture also means that you feel like you have an influence, which I also felt even when I was a student assistant in the beginning. There was a feeling of being included in the process and that your input mattered. Even going from being a student assistant and all the way up to where I am now with a lot more responsibility, that feeling has not changed.

Customer Service Coordinator
(Has worked at Paranova since 2001)

What is your role at Paranova?

I am responsible for handling the Danish Sales orders, receiving claims, return goods and many other things regarding sale in Denmark, Sweden and Finland. So I have a close contact with our different distributors, wholesalers, and pharmacies, and sometimes even private patients also call for the delivery status of a particular product, they are using.

What motivates you in your job?

I quite enjoy the daily contact with wholesalers and pharmacies, and I like to get the things done because I can see progress right there. I like the freedom of responsibility approach. It gives me the possibility to be flexible, get my things done properly and then help out with my four grandchildren if needed. You get opportunities here. Personally, I started in the production, went on to making instructions, then Q&A and since 2010 Customer Service Coordinator.

How would you describe the culture at Paranova?

I think it’s a very open and kind culture and very international as well. I think we are seven different nationalities here in the Danish office, and then there is the contact with our Swedish, Finnish and German colleagues as well. Some in the Purchase department can talk with the Suppliers in Poland, Romania and the Baltic Countries in their language and that’s a significant advantage. In our office, we have a lot of activities, you can join if you want to. Things like summer and Christmas parties, DHL running event, breakfast together once a month, some join the weekly work out, go for a run or a walk together, and then we have a lot of people who like to bake cakes and share them with us.
